As the gift giving season is upon us, I’m choosing to support as many local shops, makers and brands as I can. This past weekend I had the pleasure to experience the best of the best at the One Of a Kind Show in Toronto and Picks and Giggles in Whitby. I was blown away and inspired by all the incredible talent. Makers from Ontario and Quebec, mompreneurs, millennial’s and couples working to bring us sustainable, beautiful products - Here are a few of my personal favorites.
Atelier Trema - I am obsessed with this company! I stood that this booth for an obscene amount of time, drooling over every handcrafted piece of art. Handmade dishware & wall decor with a natural nautical vibe. Every single piece is more stunning that the next, and I ‘m positive this Quebec company is destined to be a household name - real soon!
Petit Norique – My sister introduced me to this brand a few weeks ago while at Bowmanville applefest at Gather. I picked up this adorable toque and went back to Picks and Giggles to get a head band or two, but not to my surprise they quickly sold out. Luckily, they will be launching their online store this week and I look forward to ordering more toques and head bands for my entire family.
Andrea Shelley – Who doesn’t love a stackable ring? These rings are so pretty and really inexpensive. I only purchased one and really wishing I bought more - good thing for online ordering! Andrea Shelley also designs stunning earrings, bracelets and custom pieces - perfect for the one person on your list that has it all.
Pink Lemon Décor – Durham’s modern, wood sign darling. If you have been to a makers market recently, you have probably seen Amber’s stunning work. I have so many of her signs in my own home and homes that I Stage, as they add so much life, to walls, counters and shelfies.
Anyone who knows me, knows I have a clean beauty product addiction. Myself and my boys have sensitive skin and it’s important to me to choose products that do no reek havoc on your body, hormones and adrenal system. Wolf & Pine is checks off all my boxes: 100% Vegan, sustainable, botanical ingredients and proceeds are donated to wildlife sanctuaries - Not to mention beautiful packaging and each product smell divine.
Hatchet Made - This Hamilton Design Studio creates the prettiest textiles; from pillows, to napkins to hand towels. Not only are the textiles stunning, but they are derived from plant based/ solvent free materials.
